with Adriana Ward
with Adriana Ward
Date: Saturday 23rd May 12.30pm - 2.30pm
Venue: Havering College, Ardleigh Green campus
Cost: £30
This workshop will guide you to identify and connect with the positive energy within and around you. You will learn different techniques on how to meditate using your breath (pranayama). Pranayama practice enables you to reach a deeper meditative state, helping to strengthen the minds awareness, cleanse the lungs, de-stress and improve emotional health. If practiced in the evening it may encourage a good night's sleep.
A Personal Mantra is a positive phrase/affirmation you repeat to yourself to improve motivation, self-belief and encouragement. Or perhaps to relax, calm and bring inner peace. Each person will work with their own personal manta, writing it down and using colour for a greater understanding and awareness.
As part of our workshop there will be a physical (asana) practice which has been designed to allow your explore breath and the energy which flows with your breath. By working the physical body, we can balance and harmonise the mind, body and spirit.
Our workshop will finish with essential oils and lavender eye pillows.
You will be given a handout to take away with you to continue your home-practice.
